Experience in the field of humanitarian sciences can also be useful for doctors

The participation of UNICOM team members Natalia Horbenko and Vitaly Poberezhets in a study visit to Lund University (Sweden) at the beginning of November turned out to be extremely interesting, meaningful and informative.

The study visit took place on the basis of the university's Center for Languages and Literature, but since Lund University is a classical university, the participants also got to know the work of the Science Center and the Museum of Arts.

The peculiarity of the relations between Swedish universities and communities is that the third mission is outlined as three areas of cooperation - collaboration, communication and innovation. And the work in this direction is fixed by law - scientists must "cooperate with the surrounding society, inform it about their activities and ensure the application of research results." It is for this purpose that the staff of humanities departments of several Swedish universities united in the HumTank project, aimed at disseminating the results of research in the field of sociology and history. The use of podcasts is extremely effective and promising. The experience of their creation and implementation can be an interesting find for our teachers. During the visit to the scientific center, the participants of the visit had the opportunity to feel like schoolchildren who had the opportunity to try themselves in various professions - theoretical physicist, programmer, medical doctor - and decide on the future direction of their studies. And a visit to the university Museum of Art provided an opportunity to "touch" the masterpieces created by David Siqueiros and Diego Rivera.

So, the visit helped to realize our own place on the path, broadened the understanding of the third mission and methods of its implementation, opened new horizons and perspectives for further work.
