HISTORY of creation OF THE DEPARTMENT

BEGAN

In 1934 according to the order of Folk Commissar of health Protection of Ukraine medical stationary institute was founded in Vinnytsya, which later was named after prominent scientist and surgeon M.I. Pyrogov.

During of the first two years in the institute exist problem with teaching staff because of absence of the skilled scientific personnel. Later to the institute arrived invited professor of the biochemistry V.S. Kravchenco, professor of the physiology I. A. Sivortsov-Zaginiaev and professor of the therapy B. S. Shkliar from the Kiev medical institute. Since 1936 year the chair began to work valuable.

 

PERIOD 1936-1941

 

 

 

B.S. Shkliar

 

A department was based in a regional hospital named after M.I. Pyrogov. The head of the department was professor Boris Solomonovich Shkliar. This was a becoming period and simultaneously period of creative activity of the departments.

 

PERIOD 1944-1954

After liberation of Vynnytsa from fascist’s occupation, the department was headed
by B.S. Shkliar. Soloviov V.A. become his assistant in all businesses the chair. Assistant professor Soloviov V.A. was the pupil of Moscow school of the therapeutics, one of S.P. Obrastsova students. He was a brilliant and gifted scientist.

 

PERIOD 1950-1954 

 

 

 

M.O. Auchev

 

In 1950 professor B.S. Shkliar was appointed as a head of the department of faculty therapy, and assistant professor M.O. Auchev headed the chair of internal illnesses. Base is disposed in the just opened (on 20 august, 1950) railway hospital. In that time at this hospital works such famous doctors as A.G. Pechterev, R.I. Boidic, M.G. Kazakov, V.K. Veduta. 

 

PERIOD 1954-1967

 

 

 

M.E. Milimovka

 

From 1954 years a chair was led by assistant professor Michail Efimovich Milimovka. Before the work in this chair at Vinnytsy he worked in Odessa. In the years of war was a front doctor, two battle orders have, recipient of an award by many medals. In the rank of major of medical service he was demobilize from army.

 

PERIOD 1967 -1980

A department continues to be based in a railway hospital. Ivan Andreevich  Rubachuk became a head of the chair, he was one of the first graduating students of the Vinnytsa medical college, who attained the professorial rank. During long time he was the main therapeutics of the Vynnytsa region. In 1969 the chair become the curator of therapeutic separation of the city hospital № 1.

 

PERIOD 1981 -1993

Duties of the head of the chair for short time was carry out by assistant professor M.G. Kazakov. Since the October 1981 Michael Borisovich Shkliar becomes the head of the chair.

M.B. Shkliar in 1969 defended dissertation to the degree of doctor of medicine "State of blood circulation during arterial gipotensions of the different genesis". In 1971 under the gaidens of M.B. Shkliar there was the reprinted textbook of "Diagnostician of internal diseases". Due to him this textbook was considerably complemented, the row of new sections is written.

M.B. Shkliar organized and first manager by the department of therapy of faculty of improvement of doctors of the Vinnytsa medical institute of /Chmelnitski/.

On that time chair develops the problems of cardiology. Clinical trails of new medical preparations of /verapamil, nifedipin/ are passed. Efficiency of rehabilitations measures is studied at ischemic heart disease.  On the chair research work is conducted on the study of influencing of high-voltage current on the work of cordio - vascular system.

At the end of 1993 Michael Borisovich Shkliar drives out of Vynnytsa, and as the head of the cytar was appointed professor Mostovoy Y.M. in 1994.

Very big responsibility lies on the chair of the propedeutic of internal medicine, because we teach to the therapeutic alphabet, we first trick into a future doctor to the bed of the patient, we first take the hand of student in the hand and put her to the heart of suffering human.

Much what we do the first,  and until we will remember and respect our tearchers, until then there will be traditions of big professionalism, humanity, responsibility for business, which| we does.

Medical work

 

The chair of the propedeutic of internal medicine is located on the base of city clinical hospital №1 to address Vynnytsa, street Chmelnitskii highway 96, zip code 21029.

A hospital serves near 75 thousand citizens. The employees of the chair perform consultative and medical work in the following separations of hospital:

  • Therapeutic separation. In the separation is performed consultation of patients according to the graph by professor Mostovoy Y.M. (each thursday), assistant professor Tomashkevich G.I. (seriously sick patients), treatmant of patients the in chambers  conduct assistants of the chair: assistant professor Stepanyuk A.G., Slepchenko N.S., Pentyuk N.O., Kushniruk N.V.
  • Cardiological separation. In the separation is conducted according to the graph of consultation of patients professor Mostovoy Y.M. (Tuesday, Wednesday) in the block of intensive therapy (heart attacks patients) and patients with the severe flow of disease. In the separation consultative work conducted by Soleiko L.P. and Otkalenco O.K. Treatment of patients in chambers is conducted by an assistant professor Rasputina L.V. |Rasputina 
  • Pulmonological separation. In the separation is performed consultation of patients according to the graph by professor Mostovoy Y.M. (Monday, Friday). Also in the separation performed consultation of patients by an assistant professor Konstantinovich T.V. In the chambers patients are treated by assistants of the chair: Demchuk A.V.,  Tkachenco T.V., Ovcharuk M.A., Viltsanyuk O.O.

One time in the month (each 3Wednesday in the month) the employees of department hold session of Vynnytsa city therapeutics society. On meetings for a year the therapeutics of city get modern information about the methods of diagnostics and treatment of patients with different diseases. Lectures are represented by leading professors and scientists of Ukraine, employees of department, doctors of the hospital.

One time in the month pathologo-anatomic conference and clinical consideration of hard cases of the diseases is held.

One time in a week in every therapeutic separation abstract conferences are held, where the modern information about new wais of the inspection and treatment of patients are performed.

If necessary the employees of department conduct consultative work of out-patients, and also patients in other medical establishments of city.

Certain part of patients which treat oneself in the separations of hospital in obedience to the informed consent take part in a number of international trails on the study of properties of medications.

The employees of department take part in all treatment and prophylactic measures which are performed by administration of the city hospital №1.

Pentiuk Nataliia Oleksandrivna

Nataliia Pentiuk graduated with honors from the medical faculty at Vinnytsia Medical Institute in 1996. In October 1998, she completed a full master's course at the Department of faculty therapy at Vinnytsia State Medical University. From 1998 to 1999, she worked as a laboratory assistant at the Department of Infectious Diseases of Vinnytsia State Medical University named after Pirogov. From September 1999 to August 2006, she worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Infectious Diseases. In 2001, she defended her Ph.D. thesis entitled: "Nephrotoxicity of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and its correction with trimetazidine", specialty 14.01.28 - clinical pharmacology (dissertation advisor - prof. Stanislavchuk M.A.). From September 2006 to May 2012, she worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Propaedeutics of internal medicine. In 2011, she defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medicine entitled: "Hyperhomocysteinemia and associated metabolic and vascular factors of the liver fibrosis and cirrhosis progression: possibilities of pathogenetic therapy" – 14.01.36 – gastroenterology (doctoral supervisor - prof. Kharchenko N.V.). From 2012 to 2018, she worked as an associate professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of internal medicine at National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsia, and from 2018 to 2023 – as a professor of the department. From 2015 to 2021, she was a member of the Specialized Academic Council D 05.600.05 for the defense of a Ph.D. thesis in specialties 03.00.07 – microbiology, 01.14.32 – medical biochemistry.
From February 2023, he heads the Department of Propaedeutics of internal medicine at National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsia.
She delivers lectures on propaedeutics of internal medicine and supervises students' scientific work. She conducts seminar classes with interns and graduate students.
Since 2014, he has had a higher qualification degree in internal medicine. She specializes in rheumatology (2017) and gastroenterology (2019).
She consults patients and participates in consiliums in the clinical therapeutic departments #1 and #2, the infectious department, and the ICUs #1 and #2 of the Vinnytsia City Clinical Hospital #1. She makes rounds of patients in the clinical therapeutic department #1. She participates in more than 30 international clinical multicenter randomized phase I-IV trials, in 5 of them – as principal investigator. She is a permanent member of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL).
She conducts clinical case analysis, as a reviewer participates in pathological-anatomical conferences.
She is the author of 117 printed works, including 8 publications cited in Scopus or Web o Science, 26 publications of an educational and methodological nature, and 62 specialized publications. She has 5 patents in Ukraine for a utility model. She participates in the defense of dissertations as an official opponent and reviewer. She performs scientific supervision of a Ph.D. student. The scientific and educational experience of 24 years.

Konstantynovych Tetyana


Professor, Medical Sciences Doctor, responsible for scientific work of the department

In 1987 year, she has graduated with honors from the Vinnytsya Pirogov Medical Institute.
During 1994-1996 years, she has studied in a clinical residency at the department of Propaedeutic to Internal Medicine of Vinnytsya National Pirogov Memorial Medical University.
On September 28, 1998, she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of medical sciences on the topic "Peculiarities of the course of bronchial asthma in patients with accompanying vegetative disorders and ways of their medical correction" in the specialty "Pulmonology". On May 30, 2011, she defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic "Management of patients with bronchial asthma with accompanying somatopsychic conditions, taking into account pharmacoeconomic indicators and quality of life parameters" in the specialty "Pulmonology".
She has been working at the department since 1996 as an assistant. During 2003-2011 years, she held the position of associate professor of the department of Propaedeutic to Internal Medicine of Vinnytsya National Pirogov Memorial Medical University. From 2012 year to the present time, she works as a professor of the department.
At the department, she teaches the subjects "Propaedeutic of Internal Medicine", "Nursing practice" for students of the 3rd course year, including in English, "Care of therapeutic patients" for students of the 2nd course year, "Internal medicine" for students of the 6th course year, the series "Emergency states" for students of the 6th course year.
The field of her scientific interests: the issue of comorbidity, somatopsychic disorders in therapeutic patients, the quality of life of therapeutic patients, peculiarities of the course of respiratory diseases, internal medicine.
She is the responsible executor of the planned scientific research work of the department of Propaedeutic to Internal Medicine of Vinnytsya National Pirogov Memorial Medical University.
Since 2000, he has been participating in international randomized clinical trials of drugs for the treatment of respiratory diseases as a co-investigator.
She is an associate member of the European Respiratory Society, a member of the Association of Pulmonologists of Ukraine, a member of the Association of Doctors of Podillia, a member of the Vinnytsya Society of Therapists. Since 2012, he has been a member of the state certification commission of Vinnytsya National Pirogov Memorial Medical University. The thesis "Somatopsychic phenotype of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: diagnosis and effectiveness of treatment" on the degree of candidate of medical science was defended by Alina Dovgan under the supervision of prof. Tetyana Konstantynovych in 2018.
She is the author of about 200 scientific publications.
She has a higher attestation category in therapy and pulmonology. She consults patients of the pulmonology and intensive care units of the Communal Non-commercial Institution "Vinnytsya City Clinical Hospital № 1".

Demchuk Anna Vasylivna


Professor, Doctor of Medical Science, responsible for educational process of teaching foreign students

In 1991 she finished Vinnytsia State Medical Institution n.a. M.I. Pirogov. From 1997 till 1999 she studied at the clinical residency, 2000-2003 – graduate school of the Propedeutics Department to Internal Diseases of the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya.
In 2003 she defended her candidate's thesis on 14.01.27 - pulmonology, on the topic: "Features of the clinical course of community-acquired pneumonia in young people of different social groups”.
In 2016 she defended a dissertation for obtaining the degree of doctor of medical sciences with a specialty 14.01.02 - internal diseases, on the topic: "Community-acquired pneumonia on the background of common chronic diseases of internal organs: course, pharmacoepidemiological aspects."
2005 - 2012 she worked as professor assistant,
2012 - 2018 she held the position of associate professor of the department,
Since 2018 - professor of the Propaedeutics Department of Internal Medicine.

Rasputina Lesia Viktorivna

She delivers lectures and carries out practical studies with the third-year students of Medical faculty as well as with foreign students, carries out seminars with doctor-interns. She is an author of 105 scientific articles, 3 monographs.
In 2001 defended the masters thesis in profession line. In 2006 planned the decree of doctor in profession line. She is a participator of four European Scientific forums in Pulmonology.

Tomashkevych Halyna Ivanivna

Tomashkevych H. has been working at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine of Pirogov Memorial National Medical University, since 1996.
In 1999, she defended her candidate dissertation on the topic: "Features of the course of duodenal ulcer in individuals with a burdened heredity, different blood antigens, and somatotype characteristics" under the guidance of Professor Yuri Mikhailovich Mostovoy in the specialty of "Therapy". The defense took place at the specialized scientific council D 20.601.01 of Ivano-Frankivsk State Medical Academy, and she received the PhD diploma based on the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine dated February 9, 2000.
Since 2000, she has been performing the duties of the Head of the educational part of the department. In 2003, she was elected as an Associate Professor at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine. She was awarded the Associate Professor diploma in 2005.
Since 2016, she has been an examiner for state exams.
She was a member of the university's education quality monitoring group from 2016 to 2021. She delivers lectures and conducts practical classes with students in the 2nd and 3rd years of education at the Medical Faculty. She teaches the course "Gastroenterology" to interns and postgraduates.

Co-author of the tutorial “Modern instrumental methods of examination in diagnostics of respiratory diseases” for students of the higher medical institutions of III-IV accreditation level, doctors-interns, therapeutists, pulmonologists and family doctors, which was published in 2022.
Co-author of the handbook “Rehabilitation in Family Medicine” which was published in 2021.
Co-author of the handbook “30 Urgent Conditions in Therapy” which was published in 2017.
Co-author of the monograph “Smoking: cultural medical and social aspects” which was published in 2012.
Co-author of the memo for the physicians of the primary and secondary level of the medical aid “Cough in adults” which was published in 2017.
Member of European Respiratory Society (ERS) from 2005. During Annual ERS Congresses presents the results of own scientific studies. Dr. Slepchenko had been receiving silver and bronze grants for oral and poster presentation of her scientific results repeatedly. More than 30 publications were made in the materials of Annual ERS Congresses.

Viltsaniuk Oksana Oleksandrivna

In 2005, Oksana Oleksandrivna Viltsaniuk graduated with honours from Pirogov National Medical University, specializing in "General Medicine."
From August 1, 2005, to July 31, 2007, she completed an internship in the field of "Internal Medicine" while simultaneously pursuing a master's degree at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine, Pirogov National Medical University. During her master's studies, she conducted and defended her scientific work under the supervision of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Yuriy Mostovoy, earning the degree of "Master of Medicine" in 2007.
From December 1, 2007, to December 1, 2010, she pursued her postgraduate studies at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine. In January 2012, under the guidance of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Yuriy Mostovoy, she successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis on "Clinical and morphological characteristics of community-acquired pneumonia against the background of latent polyorgan pathology" - specialty 14.01.02 - internal medicine.
From September 2007 to February 2015, she worked as an assistant at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine. Based on the recommendation of the Academic Council and the Rectorate of Pirogov National Medical University, O.O. Viltsaniuk was awarded a scholarship by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for young scientists, following the resolution of the Presidium of the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine in Science and Technology on October 1, 2014, No. 4. Additionally, O. O. Viltsaniuk actively participated in the university's public life and served as the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists in Clinical Disciplines from 2010 to 2019. Since March 2015, she has been working as an associate professor at the department.
Scientific Activity: She is the author of 111 publications, including 95 scientific papers and 16 educational and methodological works (including 19 publications in professional publications recognized by the Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine). She has co-authored 9 declarative patents of Ukraine, 2 information letters, 2 publications in the Register of Industry Innovations, and co-authored 29 acts of implementation in medical and educational processes.
Her research focuses on the problems of combined respiratory pathology and polyorganic insufficiency. The results of her scientific research are regularly presented at national, international, and European scientific forums. She is an active member of the European Respiratory Society and was elected as a Ukraine Country National Delegate in September 2022. She graduated with honors from the Vinnytsya Pirogov Medical Institute.
In 1973, she completed postgraduate studies at the Department of Pharmacology. In June 1973, she defended her candidate's thesis (specialty - therapy) on the topic "Effect of amiodarone and methoxamine on the course of experimental atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction in rabbits."
In October 1975, she started working at the Propaedeutic of Internal Medicine Department. Until 1986, he worked as an assistant, and then as an associate professor of the department. She worked with students of II, III, IV courses and doctors-interns. For several years, she managed the production practice of students of the II-V courses at the Nemyriv Central District hospital.
She created the course "Patient Care" (work programs, thematic plans, methodical development for the 20 practical classes, texts for the 6 lectures, equipped each practical class with the necessary tools). She issued methodological developments on Patient Care for foreign students, 8 methodical recommendations were issued.
Over the past 14 years, she has annually held Olympiads in Propaedeutic of Internal Medicine. She was awarded the Certificate of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine for holding the All-Ukrainian Therapy Olympiad held at the Vinnytsya National Medical University. Every year she participated in scientific and methodical conferences on pedagogy.
All medical activity takes place in the cardiology department: from managing 10-12 patients and 2 night shifts to consulting work in the cardiology department No. 1 of the Vinnytsya Regional Center for Cardiac Pathology. For more than 20 years, she consulted patients in the surgical department (100 beds + emergency every other day). She consulted patients of the intensive care unit of the Communal Non-commercial Institution "Vinnytsya City Clinical Hospital № 1". The work of the student research group was recognized with an honorary certificate from the rector of the university.
Every year, 3-4 student scientific works are performed, which take the first places in student scientific conferences at various universities. Members of the circle were speakers at international conferences and congresses of cardiologists. He is the co-author of 26 publications "Modern classifications and standards of treatment of diseases of internal organs. Emergency conditions in therapy".
The manual is included in the Guinness Book of Records in Ukraine. Co-author of the cathedral book "Auscultation of memory". 8. report and diary (filled out and signed by the responsible teacher daily at the end of the day)

The chair of infectious diseases with a course of epidemiology and the chair of  propedeutic to internal medicine invite students of 5-6th years of   study and intern doctors to join circle of the new format "Clinical case discussion", which will take place on the 18th of January 2023 at 4:30 p.m. o’clock in the morphological building of National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in the 4th lecture hall.
