Olena Kulchytska graduated with honors from the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in 2007. From 2007 to 2009, she underwent an internship at the Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.I. Pirogov. In 2007, she was enrolled in the master's program, which she successfully completed in 2009.
After completing the internship, she worked as a doctor in the emergency department at the Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.I. Pirogov. In 2010, she specialized in gastroenterology. Since June 1, 2010, she worked as a gastroenterologist in the gastroenterology department at the Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.I. Pirogov. At the same time, from December 2009 to 2014, she studied part-time in the postgraduate program at the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1. In 2014, she defended her candidate dissertation on the topic "Disorders of melatonin metabolism, autonomic dysfunction, and psycho-social maladaptation in patients with irritable bowel syndrome and ways of their correction" (specialty - 14.01.02 – internal diseases) and earned a PhD in medical sciences.
Olena Kulchytska began working at the Department of Internal Medicine #1 in September 2014. From 2014 to 2016, she worked as an assistant at the department on a part-time basis, with her main place of work being the Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.I. Pirogov. Since September 1, 2016, she has worked as an assistant at the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 in her main position. On January 20, 2017, she was elected by competition to the position of assistant at the Department of Internal Medicine #1. In 2021, she underwent certification at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for the first qualification category in the specialty "Gastroenterology." In 2022, she was re-elected to the position of assistant at the Department of Internal Medicine #1, and in 2023, she was re-elected to the position of associate professor at the same department. Olena Kulchytska works with both Ukrainian-speaking and English-speaking students and is fluent in English. In 2018, she obtained a B2 certificate. She continues her scientific work, the results of which she presents both in Ukraine and abroad. She has participated in international conferences in San Diego (USA) and Washington (USA). She is the author of more than 30 scientific works, including 12 in periodicals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. Olena Kulchytska has completed the following advanced training courses in pedagogy:
• Advanced Training Course "Fundamentals of Psychological and Pedagogical Training for Teachers" (April 15 - 26, 2019, Vinnytsia).
• Scientific and Pedagogical Internship "Directions for Improving Higher Medical Education in Ukraine in the Context of European Integration" (July 3 - August 13, 2023, Higher School of Information Systems Management (ISMA), Riga, Republic of Latvia).
• Advanced Training Course "Professional Skills of a Teacher" (February 21, 2014 - April 3, 2024, Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M.I. Pirogov, Vinnytsia).
Currently, Olena Kulchytska continues to work as a practicing gastroenterologist. Her clinical work takes place at the Regional Specialized Clinical Gastroenterology Center of the Municipal Non-commercial Enterprise “Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.I. Pyrogova of Vinnytsia Regional Council”. Since 2014, she has been participating in international clinical trials on pharmacological drugs for the treatment of patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
