Working at the department of General Surgery since 1987. Surgeon of the highest rank. In 1989 he defended dissertation for the degree of candidate of medical sciences. In 1995 he was elected to the position of assistant professor of general surgery.

Author and co-author of six monographs, one of which was published in Germany, two editions of the textbook " Surgery" in Ukrainian and Russian, and 310 scientific publications. Has 53 certificates of recognitions and patents of inventions, 65 rationalization proposal. Collaborator of eight remedies for the local treatment of inflammatory processes. Prepared two Magisters of Medicine and four PhD.
Main research study direction:
1. Treatment and prevention of postoperative septic complications and inflammatory processes.
2. Development of new modified by nanocomposites surgical suture materials and alloplastic materials for soft tissues.
